The expandeded schedule is NOT final. The promoters have up until a few days before the pull to change the classes they have chosen. That doesn't mean they will, but they do have the option.

Wow that will stink....BJ maybe we should save our $$ and just go over to mound city on Sat. night. They will have mods, USS, and limited pros there. Its sad to see what used to be one of the best pulls in the area dwindling down like it is, but I guess that's how it goes.

Turns out I've been a little busy selling farm equipment, planting, spraying, calving, and also decided to have my first kid this spring, which I really have basically only helped with with the first part of, but I just turned in my Contract on the Pickering/Bedford Pull. So for those who want to know, The classes will be: 6500 Non Turbo 6500 Hot Rod 9200 Pro Farm 9200 Pro Field 9200 Lim Pro 8500 P Pump 2.6 Diesel 2.8/3.0 Diesel 4.1 Lim Pro There will be a non-sanctioned 6200 Pro Stock 4x4 which will allow some of the Iowa guys to pull and will pay the same as the NW class. This class will start at 6:00 or so before the Northwest Sanctioned Event.
Thanks and hope to see you all there! Brent and the 102 Valley Pullers 660-254-9670

Nadine,
You are correct. I need one form per puller, not per vehicle.
Everyone else, get those memberships sent in. May 1st will be here before you know it!!
Thanks!

There is no turbo size limit in the profarm class. Wheely bars and air kills r mandatory I believe the rules are posted on the website or email Megan and i'm sure she will get u a rulebook.

Just wanted all the promoters to know that we will have at least 6 vehicles(HOT RODS) out in our class this year, with a possible 7th at least part time, thought this might help if you all are deciding which classes to have in your line up.hope you would consider us for your pull this summer, Thanks

Hello everyone!
The officers and tech officials met a few weeks ago to discuss the upcoming season. There were a few things ironed out at the meeting I thought you all should be made aware of, so here it goes:
The first pull this year will be at Albany on Friday, June 1st. With the first pull of the year being a Friday, it isn't feasible for this to be made into our official "tech day". That being said, it is still a points pull that will count in the standings, so we feel some checks must be done to make sure everyone is following the rules. The plan right now is for everyone to get checked for safety equipment and then the tech officials will do other random checks as they see fit. These checks may be done either before OR after a class pulls. In short, just make sure you are doing what you are supposed to be and things will go smoothly.
Braymer is on Saturday, June 2nd, and as in previous years, this will be our offical "tech day". Expect this to function similarly to last year, but I will have more details about times and such as we get closer to that day.
The tech officials had received some questions about the secondary hitch and people being worried about being hooked in the wrong hitch. A simple solution was suggested...cover the secondary hitch hole. Tape seemed to be the easiest fix. The tech officials wanted to let you know this is well within the rules, and they actually advise you to do this!
Also, I will be creating new tech sheets this year that are specific to each division. That means you may want to read through your rules again and make sure none of the changes are something you need to alter. We have a bigger group doing tech this year, and will have more detailed checklists. We don't want anyone to be suprised by something that is written clearly in the rules, so just brush up and make sure you aren't caught off guard on tech day.
I believe that is everything I know for now. I will give more details on anything else I find out as the season gets closer. Don't forget to fill out your membership forms and get them to me ASAP.
Thanks!

If you received an awards check from the NWMTPA, please cash it as soon as possible so it clears the bank by January 31st. I would like to have all outstanding checks accounted for before I close the books and turn them over to Megan.
Thanks

Rob and Kyle, I was at the rules meeting and although I see what you both mean by the way the rules are written, Air to water is allowed and dual rear wheels are allowed as no where in the book does it say that they aren't. Those were two main issues that were voted on and no matter what the book reads, the overall intent was to make air to water and dual rear wheels legal in the 2.6 class. As for the air shutoff, any means of manually shutting the intake air off from inside the cab by the driver is fine wheather is be electrical, mechanical, air, etc. and also obviously be shut off by the sled cable like always. The tire rule is sketchy, but that is what was voted on so that is what this assn. is going to use for this year. I agree fully that there are better ways of measuring tires that have to do with circumference and not diameter but others didn't want to mess with that when I mentioned it. Hope this helps. Hope to see you both at Bedford on June 9th!

I dont know that anything needs to be addressed on this or any rule . just commenting what has calmed all of the places that i attend in pulling.
Rob you seem to want to run by legal rules. I appreciate that. Keep asking questions. Don,t give up. when you stop asking , well you are satisfied or decided to go in the gray area. hehehehe.
Good Luck. Mike
